Can I take alcohol/soft drinks on a Cunard cruise ship?

Can I take alcohol onboard at embarkation?

Yes, you may take one bottle of wine or champagne per person, as long as it is no larger than 750ml.



Can I take soft drinks onboard at embarkation?

It is possible to take soft drinks onboard. There is no advised limit.


Can I take alcohol onboard from a port of call?

Alcohol purchased ashore will be held by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last night of the voyage.



Can I buy duty free alcohol and consume it onboard?

Cunard offers duty and tax-free alcohol for purchase, which will be delivered to your stateroom on the last day of your voyage. Unfortunately, it can not be consumed during the voyage.


Are there any restrictions on consuming my own alcohol on board?

If you choose to enjoy your own bottle in Cunard's restaurants or bars, be aware that each bottle will be subjected to a $25 corkage fee.



Is there an age limit for purchasing and consuming alcohol on board?

Yes, guests under 18 years of age are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol on board. Additionally, in U.S. waters, Cunard follows the legal drinking age of 21 years.


Are there any free drinks on a Cunard cruise ship?

Yes, the buffet provides water, fruit juices, teas and coffee throughout the day.

Water is available during main dining room meals along with coffee after meals.

Tea is included during afternoon tea.

A complimentary bottle of sparkling wine can be found in your cabin on embarkation day. There is also a kettle with tea and coffee.

Guests staying in Queens Grill suites can enjoy a complimentary mini-bar, stocked with two bottles of wine or spirits of their choice and soft drinks.
