Our experience with Level8?
Our experience with Level8 has been fantastic, from quick delivery times, and great products we have no complaints about the products what so ever. Our luggage has always arrived quickly and in secure packaging to reduce any likelihood of damage in shipping. The cases arrive in a fitted linen sheet, which makes the unboxing of the luggage an experience in itself. Straight from the point of delivery, you can feel great care and attention has gone into the customer experience.
Further down this post we will go into more detail over each of the products we have received, but it all started with “Road Runner Carry-On Case with Laptop Pouch”. This was the first product we received from Level8 and have enjoyed using the product so much. The laptop pouch on the front of the case allows for easy access to documents, laptops, or anything else you wish to store in it. The case itself is durable, and stylish with silent wheels that allow you to glide over any surface to reach your destination with ease.
Would we recommend Level8?
Yes! We aren’t just saying this because they look stylish, or fun to wheel about on their 360 degree wheels, we are saying this because out of all the cases we have had in the past, these are by far the most secure, durable, and easy to use cases we have ever owned. From the laptop pouch in our 20” carry-on case, to the space dividers in our larger 28” Voyageur check in cases, these cases go above and beyond any capability of our older cases, and we hope to continue using them for years to come.
Many Level8 products are also provided with a lifetime warranty, unlike some other well known brands which limit your warranty to only 5, or 10 years.

Full Length Review: Our Products
Level8 first reached out to us and offered us a ‘Road Runner Carry-on with Laptop Pocket”’ to have in order to complete a review onboard a cruise. This case went beyond and above all expectations. We were amazed by how easily this case rolled over any surface, even when packed out with weight. The convenient ‘Laptop Pocket’ was a great addition to assist in convenience. On top of stowing our 14” laptop comfortably in its well protected forward opening padded front pocket, we also stored a selection of magazines which we picked up in the cruise terminal. We always travel with an A4 carry pouch which we use to keep our boarding passes, passports, and insurance info etc safe and in one place. The Laptop Pocket allowed for us to store this comfortably with easy access for when we needed to show our documents.
The capacity of this carry-on is 38 litres, and weighs in a 4.3kg. It measures 37cm L x 26cm W x 55cm H, it fits most airlines carry-on restrictions and overhead compartments, check your airlines specific regulations to make sure it is suitable for your trip!
The wheels were also super quiet too! When flying for BA, George would apply WD40 to the wheels of his luggage every few weeks due to the annoying squeaking that would come when walking through a terminal. This was just normal wear and tear of those cases, and he wasn’t alone in doing so. However, we have had these Level8 cases for quite a few months now, and not a single squeak or annoying noise when walking. In fact, Level8 boast about the ultra quiet 360 degree, durable, spinner wheels, with abrasion less than 2mm even after 276,000 rotations!

Next up, we have the ‘Luminous Textured Luggage 2-Piece Set’. Included with the set was one 28” check in bag, with a 105 litre capacity (measuring 50.5cm L, 30cm W, and 76cm H) weighing 5.8kg. We were a little sceptical at how good the 360 degree wheels would hold up compared to our older pieces of luggage. But we shouldn’t have been, even weighing out at 23kg (limit for P&O Cruises from Southampton), there was no resistance from the wheels. It was weird, it wasn’t until you tried to pick up the piece of luggage did you realise how heavy it was, because the wheels just glided over the pavements and roads with ease.
This set also included another 20” Carry-on case, which was great, it meant we both had a nice piece of cabin luggage each. The 20” Luminous Luggage piece measured in at 37cm L x 23.5cm W x 54.5cm H, again fitting in with most airlines overhead compartment restrictions.
Both the carry-on, and the check-in bag are fitted with TSA approved combination locks, and featured top, & side carry handles. The luggage is lined overall with a fabric, and also includes a mesh pocket divider.

We had a cruise planned up for mid-August with P&O Cruises to visit the Norwegian Fjords onboard Iona. It was the perfect time to review some more luggage and be able to talk about the functionality of the pieces we received.
We were also offered a set of packing cubes, which we knew we were going to love. Packing cubes make packing that little bit more organised (for us anyway). They’re also great when unpacking in your cabin as everything is more neatly organised for you to be able to put away quickly and get on with your holiday.
First we will start with the “Gibraltar Aluminum Carry-on”. This piece of luggage not only looks stylish, it’s functional, and well-built. It has been made with Aerospace-grade Aluminium Magnesium Alloy for durability, with a classic look. There is not one, but two, TSA approved combination locks on this piece for added security, as well as a slow-release handle. Inside the case is a mesh pocket divider which allows for separation between the two aluminium compartments which are lined with a fabric. Weighing in at 4.6kg, this incredible piece of luggage fits most aircraft overhead compartments.
Our ‘Voyager 28” Check In’ luggage was the perfect replacement for our out-dated larger cases. With a capacity of 99 litres, these large pieces of luggage were perfect for our trips. We ordered them in their limited edition colours of Yellow and Black, and wow, they look amazing!
The creative handle design maximises the room inside the case, allowing you to take more on your holiday. The handle spans the width of the case, and is made from Telescopic Aluminium Alloy. The TSA approved combination locks allow for additional security in your travels. The cases also feature a front facing grab handle, making it easier to load into any vehicle. The cases are made with a Germany Makrolon® polycarbonate hard shell material, making each case lightweight, and durable. And finally the colour, although there are a couple of colour options available: Black, Navy, the limited edition: Yellow/Black, or Celadon, make these cases stand out in a crowd of cases, especially important when picking up your case from the cruise terminal at the end of a cruise. We found ours in a matter of seconds.
