Join us as we explore our first port of call, the beautiful, Stavenger.
We pre-ordered some room service to arrive into our cabin first thing in the morning, so that we would have some pastries in the cabin and to take with us as we explored the port. The cost room service is now £2.50 per delivery for breakfast.
We had organised an excursion through P&O cruises to visit Pulpit Rock for £85 each, the boat tour departed from the same port as Iona, so it’s just a short walk away from the ship. We explored some beautiful areas of Stavanger, as well as taking the sights of Pulpit Rock and finally ended up having some food and drink at Lysefjordsenteret on the side of the fjord.
Once back on the ship, we headed for some lunch in the buffet, we have to admit that the buffet onboard Iona was fairly lacking compared to other ships and cruise lines we have been on previously, however, there was an alright selection for lunch, but not for dinner.
We visited the theatre to watch a magician as we sailed away from Stavanger before returning to our cabin for an early(ish) night in anticipation for Olden, our next port of call.
