VIVA Cruises Unveils Exciting New 2025 Itineraries and Destinations

Despite 2024 just beginning, European river cruise specialist VIVA Cruises has already launched its 2025 brochure, packed with exciting news and offerings. The upcoming year’s program will feature 64 itineraries along Europe’s most popular rivers, new ports of call, and the introduction of brand-new Douro cruises aboard the newly built ship, PORTO MIRANTE. All 2025 itineraries are now available for booking online.

With over 60 itineraries to choose from, VIVA Cruises is expanding its offerings once again in 2025. Andrea Kruse, CEO of VIVA Cruises, says, “We recorded increased demand last year, particularly from international markets. We want to meet this demand in the coming year with new departure and landing ports, new routes, and new content.”

New Douro Cruises and Ports of Call

Next year marks a new era for VIVA Cruises with the introduction of PORTO MIRANTE. This brand-new Douro ship, set to be christened in May, will begin sailing the picturesque Portuguese river from May 2025. PORTO MIRANTE will offer trips to and from Porto, featuring overnight stays in this beautiful coastal city.

VIVA Cruises has also added several new ports of call to its 2025 program, including Lelystad, Middelburg, and Bruinisse in the Netherlands; Braubach in Germany; and Leverinho, Regua, Vega Terron, and Pinhão in Portugal, enhancing the new Douro itineraries.

New Routes on Popular Itineraries

Responding to the growing demand for short trips, especially in the first quarter when other cruise lines are still in hibernation, VIVA Cruises will start the 2025 season in January with cruises on three ships: VIVA ONE, VIVA TWO, and VIVA ENJOY.

The Danube River will be served again by VIVA TWO, offering 5-night city trips to and from Passau (Germany) and 5-night crime-themed cruises. In addition to the well-loved 11- and 15-night voyages, the ship will also provide more departures from Vienna in response to increased international demand.

VIVA ENJOY, the latest addition to the fleet launching in autumn this year, will connect Amsterdam, Budapest, and Vienna for the first time in 2025. It will feature new 7-, 10-, and 14-day itineraries, including a spectacular journey through the Iron Gates gorge on the Danube. VIVA ENJOY will also offer wellness trips from Frankfurt and one-week trips from Frankfurt to Amsterdam.

Longer trips on the Rhône will also be available, sailing on VIVA VOYAGE from Arles to Lyon, with an overnight stay in Lyon.

New Themed Cruises and Special Events

In response to the popularity of themed cruises, VIVA Cruises is adding a ‘theatre cruise’ to its 2025 program. After a renovation next winter, SWISS RUBY will feature eight suites and offer a weeklong voyage from Düsseldorf to Berlin, with entertainment both on board and ashore. Guests can enjoy guided tours, including a unique Schimanski tour in Duisburg and a visit to the Hans Otto Theatre in Potsdam.

For sailing enthusiasts, VIVA Cruises will offer an 8-night cruise from Berlin to Kiel in June 2025 for Kieler Woche, Europe’s largest sailing event. SWISS RUBY will stay overnight in Kiel, allowing guests to relax or participate in the colorful sailing regatta. This trip can also be booked in the reverse direction, from Kiel to Berlin.

All-Inclusive Experience

All VIVA Cruises itineraries include the signature VIVA All-Inclusive product, which covers snacks, full board, high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, minibar, beauty products from luxury cosmetic brand Rituals, Wi-Fi, and all tips and gratuities.
