AD - PRESS TRIP
Join us as we venture onboard Viva One - A Viva Cruises river cruise ship for a journey on the River Rhine.
We began our trip at Heathrow Airports Terminal 2, before boarding our 55 minute EuroWings flight (operated by Baltic Air) to Dusseldorf. The flight was pleasant, although being a small Airbus 220, you could feel every turn, bump, and cloud that the aircraft passed through, which was very strange!
From Dusseldorf Airport we took a short 15 minute Uber trip to the dock where we boarded Viva One. Straight from the embarkation onboard the ship, we knew we liked river cruising. The ship was modern, light, and airy. The staff took our luggage to our cabin while we checked in, and before we knew it we were in our cabin, enjoying the environment.
We headed to the lounge for the welcome meeting by the staff and the captain, here we were given a couple of drinks and light bites, before we decided to explore the ship. Viva Cruises offers an all inclusive holiday which included spirits, cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks. The offering onboard was amazing and we never went thirsty.
Our dinner in the Riverside Restaurant was beautiful, and the staff were very attentive, from taking our food orders to offering drinks and wine throughout our meal.
As this was the first evening of meeting everyone else on the press trip, we decided to all meet up on the sun deck for a sunset cocktail. It was nice getting to know everyone and taking in the scenery on the river.
